Decjuba S/S 2011/12 Product Launch @ Lot 4

Australian-based label and women's fashion brand Decjuba, has appeal that stems from styling that is both fashion forward and functional, and Wednesday night's product launch preview for their upcoming collection (due to hit stores in the coming week), was no exception.
Host and celebrity stylist Amber Renae guided the Decjuba team, fashionista's and guests through a series of affordable key looks and colours for a 'go-to' effortless, everyday spring/summer wardrobe. A mix of gorgeous neutral shades with prints and hits of pop colour were demonstrated by models with lush accessories, working seasonal basics with highlighted pieces, to help make the transition from our cooler months to the warmer months easily achievable. The highlight would undoubtedly be the versatility of simply turning a gorgeous Aztec printed scarf into a cape, and not to forget the Decjuba gift voucher, one-on-one style makeover, and Endota spa package that was up for grabs on the night, whilst we sipped on the refreshing summer tastes of Capi soda and bubbly.....xx

So it may as well be said, I like to support amazing home grown talent, by recognising not only the growth of up-and-coming designers, but by boasting the well established labels that have a cult following within the Australian community too. For my friends and followers from overseas that haven't been fortunate enough to come 'down under', I wish to open your eyes to the sophisticated, chic and cutting-edge developments of our fashionable city life....Forget 'skippy', 'uluru' and 'throwing shrimps on the barbie', our city produces some of the best art, music, cuisine, fashion, performance, design and ideas in the world....and the Trimapee label (said; Trim-mar-pea) is the brainchild development by amazing design creators Mario-Luca Carlucci and Peter Strateas.
Having studied Industrial design and Communication design, it was the intrigue and exploration of the human form that turned the collaboration of mainly sculptured art into the birth of a small menswear collection, by the self-trained designers. Today, Trimapee has extended its products to womenswear, hand-made shoes, bags and accessories.

Utilising black as the main colour palette, (defending Melbourne's temperamental weather trends), Trimapee is far from mainstream fashion, with each well constructed garment speaking volumes of character that is designed for the unique, confident individual willing to explore shapes, textures and expressions. The Trimapee pop up shop 'Unfinished Sympathy' at GPO is closing in 2 weeks. The good news is all the stock is on sale with up to 80% off, and with these directions, there's no excuse not to get into Level 1, 350 Bourke St Melbourne 3000 xx

Luv the rich browns, plums and cherry fall colours teamed with the textures of suede, fur and silk. Will definitely be enriching my wardrobe with a hint of Hart's classic yet feminine style xx
